Up and down wall lights earn their place on a front facade because they do two jobs at once: they wash the wall itself and they drop usable light onto the path or steps below. This one is fabricated from aluminium with a clear acrylic lens at each end, finished in black, and carries an IP44 rating for exposed outdoor positions.

It takes two GU10 lamps up to 35w, supplied without globes. Running LED GU10s here is the sensible choice given the fitting sits outdoors and is likely to be switched on for long stretches after dark.

If you are lighting a whole entry or driveway, there is a matching down only wall light and a 240v outdoor bollard in the same family, so the look carries through from the door to the path.
