The decision you make with this light is which way up you fit it, and it genuinely changes the result. Mounted facing down it washes a doorway, a step or a path edge and keeps the glare out of your eyes. Mounted facing up it throws a soft cone onto the wall above, which is the better choice on a rendered or brick facade where you want the surface texture to show.
The body is aluminium with a clear acrylic lens, and at IP44 it is rated for the splash and driving rain of a normal exterior wall. That covers entry walls, alfresco areas and along a fence line. It is not intended for direct immersion or ground level pooling.
Because it takes a standard GU10 globe rather than an integrated LED, you can choose your own colour temperature and change it later without replacing the fitting. That matters outdoors, where a warm 3000K reads as welcoming at an entry and a cooler globe reads as security lighting down the side of a house. A round 110mm backplate keeps the wall penetration small and tidy. Globe not included.
