The detail worth noticing here sits above the shade rather than below it. A solid timber block caps the cone, and the contrast between warm grain and flat matt paint is what stops this reading as another plain cone pendant. The cloth covered cord carries the same idea through to the ceiling.

Four finishes give you two quite different approaches. Matt black and matt grey behave as neutrals and let the timber do the talking. Matt green is the one to choose when the pendant is meant to be the colour in the room, and it sits particularly well against pale timber joinery or a white splashback. Matt white almost disappears until you look up.

At 210mm across it is a modest fitting, which makes it a good candidate for repetition. Three in a row over an island bench, or a pair either side of a kitchen sink, look considered rather than crowded. Over a small dining table a single pendant is enough. The cord is 1800mm as supplied and can be shortened at installation. Globe not included.

Quality Pendant.
Although I haven't had mine installed yet, I know how lovely it's going to look. Very happy with the finish and quality, the only thing that would have made it perfect is if it was a smidgen bigger.
