A small, squared off outdoor wall light cast in aluminium, throwing its light downwards onto the wall beneath it. The shape is plain and geometric, with no visible fasteners or decorative detail, which is why it works well on rendered walls, brick and modern cladding without competing with the architecture.
Cast aluminium is the right material for this job. It holds a powder coat finish well and stands up to weather better than pressed steel, and the IP54 rating means it is rated against dust and splashing water in a normal exposed position.
It takes a single GU10 lamp, which is not included. That is a plus rather than a compromise, since it lets you set the beam angle and colour temperature yourself: a narrow beam for a tight wash down a feature wall, or a wider one to light a doorway. Available in black or white.
