A white ceramic base standing 570mm tall, finished with an ivory shade in a natural linen look. It is the tallest of our ceramic table lamps and the one to choose when a surface needs presence rather than a quiet accent.
Ceramic behaves differently to metal or resin under light. The glaze picks up a soft sheen from the globe above it, so the base itself carries a little of the warmth rather than sitting as a dark silhouette below the shade. White ceramic is also the safest possible base colour in a room you might redecorate, since it works against any wall tone and any timber.
The shade is included and mounts on a top harp fitting, so it sits level and stays square if the lamp gets knocked. Polyester cotton in ivory diffuses the light evenly, which is what makes this a comfortable bedside lamp as well as a console piece.
At this height it is best on a lower surface. On a standard bedside table it sits at reading height beside a bed. On a hall console it lights the entry without needing an overhead fitting on at night.
The switch is on the cord, and the cord runs 1800mm on clear PVC. It takes a standard E27 globe up to 40W on 240V, sold separately, with a one year replacement warranty.
