A plain track head that aims where you point it
Track lighting earns its place in two situations: a room where you cannot easily cut into the ceiling, and a wall of artwork or shelving that needs light aimed at it rather than dropped on it from above. This head does the second job well because the body pivots, so you set the beam after everything is installed and change it later when the furniture moves.
It clicks into any standard 3 wire single circuit track, which is the common type in Australian homes and shops. Track is sold separately, in matching black or white. If you already have track on the ceiling, check it is single circuit before ordering, because 4 wire multi circuit track uses a different adaptor.
The globe is GU10 and not included, which is the point. GU10 is the most widely stocked spot globe there is, so you choose the beam angle, the wattage and the colour temperature to suit what you are lighting. A narrow beam for artwork, a wider one for general fill. With a dimmable LED globe fitted, the head dims.
