LED Panel Lights

LED panel lights are slim, flat ceiling fixtures that deliver bright, even, glare-free light across a wide area. They are one of the most energy efficient ways to light offices, shops, schools, hospitals, kitchens, laundries and garages, and they suit both commercial fit-outs and modern homes. At The Lighting Outlet we stock a large range of LED panels in every popular Australian size, wattage and colour temperature, from leading brands including SAL Sunny Lighting, Haneco, Havit, Atom and Decrolux, with fast delivery Australia wide.

Quality LED panels typically last tens of thousands of hours and come with a manufacturer warranty, far outlasting older fluorescent troffers.

Yes. Mains powered (240V) LED panels must be installed by a licensed electrician in Australia. If you have a plug base installed already however, you can simply plug and play without an electrician.

Standard IP20 panels are fine for dry indoor rooms. For bathrooms, laundries, commercial kitchens and undercover outdoor areas, choose a higher rating such as IP44 or IP54.

Both. Panels can be recessed into a grid or plasterboard ceiling, suspended on cables, or surface mounted using a surface mount frame kit where there is no ceiling cavity.

3000K is warm and cosy for homes, 4000K is neutral and the most popular for offices and commercial spaces, and 5700K is cool and bright for workshops and garages. Tri-colour panels let you switch between all three.

Edge-lit panels are slimmer and lit from the frame, while backlit panels have LEDs across the whole back for brighter, more even light and longer life. Both are low glare.

For a typical office or living area a 36W to 40W 1200 x 600 panel is a good starting point. Larger or brighter rooms benefit from higher wattage or multiple panels. Switchable wattage models let you adjust the output on site.

600 x 600 panels suit grid ceilings and general rooms, 1200 x 300 panels suit hallways, benches and retail aisles, and 1200 x 600 panels light larger commercial areas. For a standard suspended ceiling, look for a 595 x 595 panel so it fits the grid.
